ProductQuickBooks sync

The books agree with the storefront. Automatically.

Connect your QuickBooks Online company once, and invoices, payments, and sales receipts post themselves, matched to the customers and items you already have. When your bookkeeper records a payment in QuickBooks, it flows back and settles the synced invoice here.

What flows out, and what flows back

Outbound, the sync posts your invoices, payments, and sales receipts into QuickBooks Online, exact to the cent, including catch-weight invoices rebuilt after weigh-in. Customers and items are matched against what's already in your company file, not duplicated into a parallel list your accountant has to merge.

Inbound is deliberately narrow: payments recorded in QuickBooks against synced invoices flow back and mark them settled here. It's a sync with a clear direction of authority, not a mirror, and that's what keeps two systems from fighting over your books.

Built to not ruin your books

Every synced record has its own activity log entry with a per-record retry, so a hiccup on one invoice is one visible line to fix, not a mystery in a monthly batch. The sync is idempotent: retries and reconnects never create duplicates.

It runs on a daily schedule plus on-demand when you want the books current now, and it never blocks commerce. Orders, invoices, and payments happen at full speed whether QuickBooks is reachable or not.

Matched, never duplicated

Customers and items link to your existing QuickBooks records; new ones are created only when no match exists.

Per-record activity log

Each invoice, payment, and receipt shows its own sync status, with retry per record.

Commerce never waits

Sync failures are logged and retried; they never stop an order or an invoice from happening.

The honest boundaries

The sync connects one QuickBooks Online company in USD; QuickBooks Desktop is not supported. Guest orders are skipped (there's no customer account to match), draft invoices never sync, and refunds and credit memos remain a manual bookkeeping step.

The file-based accounting export stays on every plan, so month-end works from day one and the sync replaces the download-and-import loop when you get there.

Included in Enterprise at $1,199/month. The file-based QuickBooks export stays on every plan; Enterprise replaces the download-and-import loop with the scheduled two-way sync.

Questions, answered.

How does the two-way QuickBooks sync work?+

Outbound, Minori Midori posts invoices, payments, and sales receipts into your QuickBooks Online company, matching customers and items to existing records instead of duplicating them, exact to the cent. Inbound, payments your bookkeeper records in QuickBooks against synced invoices flow back and settle them in Minori Midori. It runs on a daily schedule plus on-demand, and it's part of the Enterprise plan.

Will syncing create duplicate customers or items in QuickBooks?+

No. The Minori Midori sync matches customers and items against what's already in your QuickBooks Online company and creates a record only when no match exists. The sync is also idempotent: retries and reconnects never post the same invoice or payment twice. Every record carries its own activity log entry with per-record retry, so anything that needs attention is one visible line, not a corrupted batch.

Does the QuickBooks sync work with QuickBooks Desktop?+

No. The two-way sync on the Minori Midori Enterprise plan connects to QuickBooks Online, one company, in USD. QuickBooks Desktop is not supported. If your books live elsewhere, the file-based accounting export on every plan produces CSV files (invoices, payments received, and orders) that import into QuickBooks Online's own import screens or open in any spreadsheet.

What happens to guest checkout orders in the QuickBooks sync?+

They're skipped by the sync, because a guest order has no customer account to match against your QuickBooks records. In Minori Midori, guest orders still appear in the file-based accounting export available on every plan, so they reach your books through that path instead. Draft invoices are likewise never synced, and refunds and credit memos remain a manual bookkeeping step.

Is the QuickBooks sync real-time?+

No, and that's deliberate. The Minori Midori sync runs on a daily schedule, plus on-demand whenever you want the books current, with a run typically finishing in under two minutes. It never blocks commerce: orders, invoices, and payments happen at full speed whether QuickBooks is reachable or not, and anything that fails is logged per record and retried without creating duplicates. The sync is part of the Enterprise plan.
